| Abstract | The main objective of this study was to analyze the perceptions and consumer attitudes towards m-commerce (mobile commerce) in the travel industry. It assessed the level of acceptance, confidence and the value of consumers regarding the use of the smartphone to purchase products and services related to travel. It was identified potential barriers related to decision-making in the buying process via the mobile device. And it was presented possible improvements that can result in wider acceptance of mobile technology to make purchases. The survey was quantitative character. We used a questionnaire based on the literature review and in-depth interviews. Was tried to get answers from a representative sample of people who possess a smartphone. The data obtained from the answers of 183 respondents were analyzed and tabulated. The results showed that users emphasize convenience, utility and the ease of access of smartphones as key aspects in the use of these to make a purchase. However the reliability at the time of payment and configuration and / or smartphone dimensions may arise as barriers to greater popularity of this buying mode. |
