| Abstract | Pain management in children with cancer is an important issue of comprehensive treatment in palliative care in seeking control of this symptom more and more new techniques that are complementary to drug treatment are discovered, The aim of this study is to evaluate through a systematic review the impact of music therapy on pain control in pediatric patients with cancer. The search was conducted in 4 databases using the terms music therapy, pain in children and cancer after applying the filters were 9 items which were analyzed as a whole, were categorized according to the Jadad scale to assess their quality and analyzed their results. The final conclusion partially supports the initial hypothesis however showed the need for more research of better quality. |
