Abstract	El analisis tiene por objeto conocer los lugares que frecuentan durante su tiempo libre los jovenes entre los 15 y 20 anos de edad en la ciudad de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, asi como establecer las razones que determinan la eleccion y las formas de uso y apropiacion de tales espacios. Esta exploracion se fundamenta, de un lado, en las respuestas aportadas por los alumnos de dos centros educativos de la ciudad a un cuestionario relativo a sus espacios preferidos de encuentro y ocio y, de otro, en las opiniones, experiencias y percepciones que proporcionaron los chicos y chicas de ambos centros en las entrevistas grupales que se realizaron al efecto. The analysis aims to know the places that frequent during his spare time young people between 15 and 20 years of age in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as well as establish the reasons that determine the choice and the forms of use and appropriation of such spaces. This exploration is based, on one side, the responses made by the students of two schools in the city to a questionnaire regarding their spaces preferred meeting and leisure and, secondly, in the opinions, experiences and perceptions which provided the boys and girls from both centers in the group interviews that were conducted for the purpose.
