| Abstract | Katherine Brown, MPH was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Oakland California. She has received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies Field Major, with an emphasis on Health and Illnesses in Industrialized Societies. She went onto to receive a Masters in Public Health from San Francisco State University in 2006. Katherine has worked for the City of Berkeley Public Health Division since 2000, and is currently the program manager for their Hypertension, Nutrition, Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention programs, and cocoordinator for the Heart 2 Heart (a community based project, focused on reducing cardiovascular health inequities in South Berkeley).
