Abstract	article discusses the desired functionality of the Polish bibliographic retrieval systems in terms of their accessibility to users at risk of digital exclusion, including persons with disabilities. The basis of the theoretical and methodological assumptions were legal and programme documents at national and european level, as well as following them activities and guidelines for web content accessibility. In particular, the web page accessibility tools have been used, such as Utilitia, WaVe, a3Web.
