| Abstract | Home Visit (VD) as a strategic allows the health professional to overcome the traditional model and build a thinking sustained in the social production of the health-disease process, which ultimately fosters the approximation of the subjects involved - professional-caregiver-user - for permanent transformation of health practice. Home visit allows access to health care by a multidisciplinary team, which includes the oral health team. The present work intends to present this strategy as a possibility of oral health care for Public Heatlh System users, based on an experience report of compulsory curricular traineeship in a Primary Health Unit of a large municipality. The home visits made to users of the area of coverage of an oral health team obtained data on the functional limitation of systemic health and their degree of care, as well as the oral health care that the caregivers provide to the individual or that the users own. External and internal environmental conditions of the domicile of each one, in turn, were analyzed, in addition to being pointed out proposals of individual and collective approach. Based on the results, it is possible to suggest that the home visit allows the extension of the attendance dimension, not focusing on the disease, but promoting, maintaining and recovering the health of the human being from the perspective of his family; Besides the search for the participation of the patient and family in the care process, which contributes to the construction of oral health value. In this sense, it is suggested that reports and studies on different forms of intervention, in the public or private sphere, can advance the integrality of care, since when raising needs, an essential step in the planning of care, the expectation of care is generated. |
