| Abstract | Abstract : Contracting has long been an integral part of the overall acquisition process. Today, there is a critical shortage of contracting GS-1102s within the Department of Defense (DoD), in particular within the Army Contracting Command (ACC), which is responsible for the majority of contracting for the Department of the Army. There are many factors for this shortage. However, the result is the same: There is a lack of a qualified GS-1102 workforce with the skills, capabilities, and training necessary to handle the complexities of today?s ACC contracting workload. |
