Abstract	Los diferentes modelos de unidad de traduccion y de unidad de analisis de traducciones presentados en el pasado no solian tener en cuenta que la actividad traductora supera los limites de la gramatica tradicional, por lo que las unidades por ellos propuestas no eran operativas. Partiendo de una concepcion empirico-descriptiva de la Estilistica Comparada (EC), presentamos un modelo de unidad de traduccion y de analisis doble, basado por una parte en el texto como unidad comunicativa y en el fragmento como unidad de procesamiento de la informacion. Abstract On the Unit of Translation and the Unit of Analysis of Translation in Comparative Stylistics Alberto ALVAREZ LUGRIS The various models of translation units and units of translation analysis presented in the past did not take into account that translation is an activity that transcends the boundaries of traditional grammar; thus that those units were not operative. Our empirico-descriptive conception of Comparative Stylistics, leads us to present a double model of translation unit and analysis -on the one hand the text is the communication unit and on the other the fragment is the processing unit.
