Abstract	The article proposed by Touil and coauthors addresses an important issue, when pedotransfer functions (PTFs) are used to characterize the soil water retention curve (SWRC), that is the sensitivity of the predicted soil water contents to the predictor variables. The goal is to provide an insight on which are the most reliable predictors, among the most common ones (bulk density, grain size distribution, organic matter content).
