| Abstract | In this paper are analyzed the Information and communications technologies (ICT) that a group of grandparents use to communicate with their grandchildren. The data of 56 persons with an average age of 74'63 were extracted from an original questionnaire. The results were analyzed with the nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis test and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, using the Spearman correlation. It was found that ITCs are mostly used between grandparents and those grandchildren that live nearby them. In addition, there are no significant differences between the groups of grandchildren and the time slot. On the other hand, the older the grandchild, the more they speak about their health and news about the family. There was also found a tendency of the children to teach their parents (the grandparents of this study) how to use the oldest ICTs, while the grandchildren teach them how to use the most currently |
