ABSTRACT There are many studies about the training against resistance (TCR) and flexibility, little is known about the effect of training performed with different ranges of motion and its relation to the levels of amplitude articular. The objective was to compare the levels of acute articular amplitude after the execution of exercises against resistance (ECR) in different ranges of motion (ROM). 15 subjects of both sex, practitioners of body, divided into two groups: the restriction of amplitude 90 (GRA) and maximum amplitude (GAM). The measurement of levels of flexibility was performed with a goniometer of steel, 360 (Lafayette, USA, 2003) before and after TCR. Were implemented to extend the horizontal movements of the shoulder joint (EHAO) and flexion of the lumbar spine (FCL) according to protocol LABIFIE. Used the descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) to characterize the sample and the "t" test to check the differences between the averages of the groups. The Group showed GRA (63.7 ° ± 22.0 ° and 22.62 ± 11.93) and pre (56.7 ± 22.96 and 30.4 ± 10.56) after TCR for the FCL and movements EHAO respectively . Observed significant difference (p <0.05) before and after TCR for the GRA, only the movement of FCL, with increase in ADM. In group GAM, both movements had significant pre-and post-tests, with an increase for the FCL and reduction to EHAO. It was concluded that there was a decrease in ADM for the movement of EHAO for GAM, and a significant increase in ADM in the movement of FCL for both groups. Key words: Flexibility; Exercises against resistance; Range of motion. |
