Wysokie stezenia związkow biogennych skutkowaly wyznaczeniem gornej cześci zlewni Kotomierzycy jako obszar szczegolnie narazony na zanieczyszczenie azotem ze źrodel rolniczych. Wysokie stezenia związkow biogennych charakteryzują wody Kotomierzycy jako silnie eutroficzne. Skutkuje to nieosiągnieciem celow środowiskowych zawartych w Ramowej Dyrektywie Wodnej. It is characterized by strong pressure from agriculture. Almost 90% of the upper part of catchment is covered in agriculture areas. High concentrations of nutrients resulted in the determination of the upper part of the Kotomierzyca catchment as the areas exposed to compounds of nitrogen pollution coming from agricultural sources. High concentrations of biogenic substances characterized Kotomierzyca waters as strongly eutrophic.
