| Abstract | Usability plays important roles between tools and their users. To make a tool to be effective, it should allow intended users to achieve their tasks in the best way possible. The same principle applies to graphical password system. In order for this system to work, its users must be able to utilize it accurately and effectively. Graphical passwords, which consist of clicking and dragging activities on the pictures has became the alternative technique in knowledge-based authentication environment rather than traditional approach which is textual-based approach. In this paper, a comprehensive study of the existing graphical password schemes is performed. We compared and categorized these schemes into two groups; recall-based scheme and recognitionbased scheme. We also list out and discussed several usability features for research continuity in this area |
