| Abstract | The project conducted was A Feasibility Study for the Creation and Implementation of a Functioning Integral Center for the Elderly in the City of Pereira”, developing different techniques in order to evaluate the practicality of such a center in the areas of marketing, administration and financing methods. The aforementioned was carried out through the analysis of the services sector in the City of Pereira, of the offerings and competition generated by the present centers for the elderly, the demand of such services and its potential users, as well as the capacity of the installations needed to meet the demand, with the objective to establish a services portfolio, its prices and the requirements in terms of materials and equipment to present the project with an attractive financial viability to potential investors (Private and Financial Institutions.) Concurrently, strategic planning of the enterprise was executed and it was determined the location, taking into account a variety of factors that seek the success of the business, plainly identifying its weaknesses, opportunities, strengths and threats. Furthermore, the creation of such a center will augment the quality of life for the elderly living within these facilities, as well as improve their relationships with their family, thus bringing about a positive impact to society in Pereira. |
