| Abstract | The aim of this research is to develop and validate a scale to predict the ability of student engagement according to the use made of ICT. The scale is constructed based on theoretical contributions of classroom factors that affect student engagement and are described in the literature as best practices. The sample was selected using purposive sampling restricted to centers previously identified as centers participating in the "Programa Escuela 2.0", in the province of Seville and Cadiz. These centers have been selected by the CEPs as centers of good ICT practices. The sample consists of 1982 subjects of both sexes, belonging to different educational levels and courses. The results obtained confirm the internal consistency of the scales as well as the goodness of fit of our proposed model. In general, we can confirm that there are factors related to the use of ICTs that have a direct influence on student engagement. |
