Abstract	The aim of this paper is to analyze some important aspects to consider in the group intervention carried out in the psycho-educational programs for men convicted of a crime of gender violence in Spain. To do this, first, we study the issues related to gender violence involving important consequences for the design and implementation of treatment programs for men. Second, we identify the factors and difficulties related to the context of treatment, the offender and the therapist which may be decisive in group dynamics and development of treatment. Finally, some challenges facing the therapist in such interventions are specified.
