| Abstract | The objective of the study was to determine the mammographic manifestations of ductal carcinoma in situ in patients at the National Hospital Dos de Mayo. In the period from January of 2011 to December of 2013. The study is observational, descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional type, in which the medical records of patients were reviewed with a histological diagnosis of Ductal Carcinoma In Situ admitted to the Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo between the months of January 2011 and December 2013. To describe the mammographic manifestations of DCIS review of medical records was performed and gynecological and obstetric data and report mammography data were taken, which were tabulated represent actual values and percentage ratio. Were included in the study 26 patients with histological diagnosis of Ductal Carcinoma in situ, who met the selection criteria, analyzing each case it was found that the average age was 58.4 years, the main frequency corresponded to the group between 45-55 years 13 cases (50%). Women most affected were multiparous (88%) and women who had a family history of breast (58%) cancer, the most common manifestation mammographic microcalcifications were alone representing 73 %, were mostly amorphous type with 65%. The BI-RADS category 4 was most associated with DCIS. |
