| Abstract | Satellite technology advancements continue to grow in line with the need for communication and informationaccess. To support Satellite technology required antena can receive frequencies ≥ 10 GHZ and circularpolarization as well as compact to support mobile communication. One type of antena that can support Satellitetechnology is a microstrip antena. This type of antena has several advantages, especially in the design of theantena is thin, small, lightweight and can be applied to Microwave Integrated Circuit (MICs). the design ofmicrostrip antena two pengatuan become the needs of Satelite mobile communication devices that require largedata transfer but must be able to keep moving (mobile), such as navigation system technology, RegionalMapping System and positioning. To support the research in the field of mobile communication satelite thendesigned microstrip Antena small size. In this study design and realize microstrip antena used for Satelite mobilecommunication application. The design will be done with the calculation process to obtain the dimensions of theantena, then simulation will be done by using the software and optimization to get the dimensions of the antenathat will produce the desired characteristics. The method used is two microstrip antenas to achieve a pattern ofdirectional radiation and greater gain. After getting the antena dimension then realizing the antena. After that isdone by measurement of antena parameter which include impedance, working frequency, VSWR, gain, radiationpattern and polarization. The prototype realization produces a microstrip antena that can work at frequencies of≥ 20 Ghz for VSWR <1,2 directional and circular polarized patterns. |
