| Abstract | Strict field experiments were carried out in 2009/2010–2010/2011 at the Agricultural Experimental Station of the Institute of Plant Protection – National Research Institute in Winna Gora. The study was aimed at determining the prevalence of pathogenic agents causing diseases of stem base, leaves and ear in wheat cultivated in different production systems. Winter wheat cultivar Muszelka was sown after three different forecrops: oilseed rape, maize and cereals. Soil was prepared for the experiments with the use of the conventional and reduced tillage systems. Macroscopic assessment of health of wheat stem base performed at the flag leaf sheath opening stage showed a greater occurrence of Fusarium foot and root rot than of eyespot. The highest occurrence of Fusarium foot rot was found after a cereal forecrop. No statistically significant differences in the prevalence of the diseases depending on cultivation system were stated. The wheat grain yield collected from the plants cultivated in the conventional tillage system was higher than that of the reduced tillage system. |
