Abstract	The rice is made present in the table of thousands of inhabitants of the planet, due to their nutritional characteristics and his low cost. It is the main worked culture when of the opening of new areas for adapting easily to soils of low natural fertility. With objective of generating information that can aid the producers in the application of punishments and in the definition of you cultivate of more appropriate rice for the soil in the area of Humaita - AM the vegetative acting was evaluated of the you cultivate Cambara and Primavera and the vegetative acting was compared of the you cultivate Cambara and Primavera in function of the limestone doses. Before the calagem the soil presented medium pH of 4,84. however, after the calagem, a significant difference was observed for the pH values among the applied doses. In the equivalent doses to 5 and 6 t/ha, they were obtained the largest pH values, and the pH values in KCl were always shown smaller than the one of pH in water. The exchangeable aluminum (Al+) and potential acidity presented high values for the soil without calagem. The concentrations were reduced in the equivalent doses to 4,5 and 6 t/ha. you cultivate Them reacted from a positive way to the calagem in what tells respect the vegetative variables and production, being obtained the largest values for the doses of 4,5 and 6 t/ha. cultivating Cambara superior was shown when cultivating Primavera majority of the variables studied except in the variable mass it dries of 100 grains.
