| Abstract | The procedures applied to the recovery, conservation and storage of the bioarchaeological collection from Paso Alsina 1 site are were descri- bed. Ten secondary multiple burials concentrated in an area of about 6m2 were recovered. Quantitative analyses indicated the presence of ca. 3500 anato- mical units, belonging to a MNI of 56. Both sexes and different age-at-death categories were shown in the bone assemblage. The fortuitous fi nd of the site and the complexity of the funerary structure, dated in ca. 500 years BP, led to take some methodologi- cal and technical decisions during the rescue of the burials.
