| Abstract | Often we move, delete or modify SAS® programs, but SAS® log files modification will happen after execution of SAS® programs. SAS® log files always contains the original SAS® codes executed up to first endsas statement with option source in the SAS code (option source is the default). This paper takes advantage of this fact and by series of refinements, it filters all extra information which are generated by the log file and finally reconstitutes a copy of the original SAS® code. This paper explains how to remove extra information in SAS® log step by step in a macro named LOG2SAS. The macro tested in SAS® 8.2 in SunOS 5.9 platforms. |
