| Abstract | The aim of this study was to evaluate the occlusal alterations such as anterior open bite, alte- red maxillary overjet and altered molar relation in 638 12-year-old students gathered according to gender, type of school, and ethnic groups. The methodology used was according to WHO (1997). The results indicated that 7,3% of the sample showed AOB and 27,9% Altered Maxilar Overjet but no statistically significant relation was found to exist regarding gen- der, type of school or etnic groups. It was noticed that 51,1% of the students showed Altered Molar Relation and it was more signifi- cant in boys, in public school and in non white group.
