| Abstract | The cultural goods market is influenced by certain legal institutions, mainly inspired in the need to protect the cultural interests of the nations where those interchanges take place, as well as in the encouragement of the public access to culture of their citizens. This paper is focused on three UK legal institutions designed with the said purposes (Export Control System, Conditional Exemption Scheme and Private Treaty Sales), in order to assess their impact on the art market, as well as their efficacy for the consecution of the above mentioned cultural interests protection. |
