| Abstract | The objective of this research was study a participatory approach to Propagation on Vetiver Grass at Baan Aeak Community, Sanpayang sub district, Mae Tang district, Chiang Mai province. Research methodology was included a Participatory Research Approach (PRA) and descriptive analytic studies and synthesis data from knowledge sharing activities. The result indicated that the priority of villagers was agricultural productivity especially in marketing and value over the long-term sustainability. The extension of vetiver grass cultivation in this village was difficult because vetiver grass did not an industrial crop so the villagers use their land rather than soil and water conservation. However, the PRA and knowledge management in the benefits of vetiver grass propagation for soil and water conservation on their farm land could be beginning to awareness in the community to conserve soil water and watershed forests and agricultural production must not destroy and degrade an ecosystem. |
