Abstract	Small and medium-sized enterprises encounter many barriers preventing them from functioning and development because of their specifi c. Capital constraints are one of the most signifi cant barriers, especially since their activities are mainly based on SME’s equity. Purpose of this publication is to identify the main barriers for small and medium-sized enterprises in terms of their development and to analyze their use of fi nancial services as an alternative means of raising capital.
