| Abstract | This research is linked to the research line: Practices and Formative Processes in Education from the Education Postgraduate Program in the Sciences and Technological School at “Universidade Estadual Paulista” (FCT/UNESP) and in it has been described and analyzed accessibility characteristics which should be found in Educational Objects (OEs), in the concepts of Physics, available in the repository of the “Banco Internacional de Objetos Educacionais” (BIOE), for the people with Visual Disabilities (PDVs). To the same extent as the actions from “Ministerio da Educacao” (MEC), based on the educational legislation and politics, which look forward to search for inclusion and accessibility, as the meaningful increase on the use of the Internet and the computer among these users, allow to consider that the OEs can also be used by PDVs, as one more pedagogical digital resource for their learning. In this sense, the general objective of this study has been to investigate which accessibility resources could make the access better with more autonomy from the OEs in the Physics field. The specific objectives have been to analyze the OEs, in the Physics field, looking forward to check if their use is possible in an autonomous way, by the PDV and to verify, by consulting the BIOE, which characteristics of these objects are desirable, in a way to allow the statement that they make possible the accessibility to PDVs. A qualitative research was realized, using the method of Analysis of Content, through semi structured interview. Through this instrument, we listened to two blind participants, students from a state public school in Juiz de Fora – MG. The data from the interview were analyzed from 3 (three) categories: Web Accessibility, OEs Accessibility and Accessibility at School. Two Educational Objects from the Physics field, that appeared in the BIOE, were analyzed. For that purpose we have elaborated an adapted board with the 04 principles of accessibility, containing 17 items, established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C, 1999), whose patterns have the objective to guarantee the growth of the Web with accessibility. Through the data analysis, the main results from this research have been: the Assistive Technology (TA) resources most used by the participants were the screen readers and synthesizers of voice in the process of surfing in the contents of the OEs. Among the 17 items with characteristics of accessibility analyzed through the board, in the two OEs selected in the BIOE, it was partially found some characteristics of accessibility, which cover certain specificities for the students with blindness. According to the results reached and their analysis, it is possible to conclude that the developers of educational softwares need to consider the use of the TA and to observe the guidelines of W3C accessibility in developing OEs. It was also identified the lack on accessibility, as well as of the inclusion of it at the school, besides the importance on teacher’s mediation to an effective interaction of the participants with these objects. |
