| Abstract | In the following study we explore the connection between these constructs: students burnout, self-efficacy and the student role performance. Our goal is to test the following hypothesis: burnout levels increase as students progress through the courses of a college career; a higher level of self-efficacy and student role performance, means a lower score in the burnout scale. We apply several online questionnaires to a total of 293 students of the university of La Laguna, one of them being a self-made scale. We use an ANOVA analysis, a Pearson correlation and a factorial analysis through R software and the ULLRToolbox suite. The results show that burnout doesn’t develop in the expected way, but it correlates significantly with self-efficacy and student role performance in the hypothesized way. Finally, the obtained results are submitted for discussion, as these connections are not as clear as in the existing literature about these topic. |
