| Abstract | In this paper study energetic and exergetic performance analysis, at the design condition, for the existing super critical 660 MW coal fired once through thermal power plant situated at Tirora Maharashtra in order to identify the needed improvement and tells us how much useful work potential or energy, supplied to the input to the system under consideration has been consumed by process. Exergetic efficiency is compared with the thermal efficiency of each component. In recent decades, the exergetic performance based on the second law of thermodynamic has found as useful method in the design, evaluation, optimization and improvement of thermal power plants Keywords— Energy, power plant, Turbine, Correlation efficiency, boiler, thermodynamic |
