Abstract	The aim of this paper was to present the possibility of using dendrochronology in an interdisciplinary research. A historical outline of this branch of dendrology, the methodology of dendrochronology and its application in geology, archeology and climatology are presented. The results of exemplary incremental analyses related to the influence of biotic, abiotic, and anthropogenic factors were cited. The importance of dendrochronology in nature education and nature conservation has been highlighted. Widespread use, coupled with the development of technology can give measurable benefits in the interpretation of natural phenomena.
