| Abstract | Introduction: Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is a rare but important benign lesion affecting the maxillofacial region, which presents bone pain, deformities and fracture. Although FD presents radiographic patterns, it has to be analyzed histologically for the final diagnosis. Currently, there is no guide for FD treatment universally accepted. We report a success case of excision of the entire lesion in the upper left maxilla and the placement of two dental implants for oral rehabilitation followed by guided bone regeneration. |
