| Abstract | For human life, time is a specific monodirectional dimension forcing us into serial development and behavior. We are living in the now, but we know that we stem from yesterday and that we are facing the future: our tomorrow. With respect to bodily existence, every human seemingly has only one life. The human life can be regarded as constructing a wheel : We can imagine that year by year we fit a new spoke into that circular element, a wheel that we call life and that rolls us in only one direction, the future. Through developing the species for many generations of humans, many of these virtual wheels have been linked serially, one behind the other. |
