Abstract	espanolLas Agencias de Desarrollo Regional (ADR) espanolas son organismos que tienen como finalidad fomentar el desarrollo de sus regiones, incluyendo el apoyo directo a las empresas establecidas en sus territorios. Este trabajo presenta los resultados de un estudio realizado, a traves de un cuestionario, cuyo objetivo ha sido conocer los instrumentos y practicas relacionadas con la Inteligencia Competitiva (IC) desarrolladas por las ADR espanolas: sistemas creados, tipologias informativas utilizadas, funciones de las unidades de IC, procesos formativos desarrollados, personal, plataformas informaticas utilizadas, pertenencia a redes y sistemas de promocion empleados. El estudio, en el que han participado nueve agencias, senala la escasez de estructuras oficiales en lo que a la Inteligencia Competitiva se refiere, aunque existen organismos donde las politicas de inteligencia si estan mas avanzadas. EnglishThe Spanish Regional Development Agencies (ADRs in their Spanish acronym) are organisms whose purpose is to promote the development of their regions, including direct support to firms established in their territories. This paper presents the results of a study conducted by means of a questionnaire whose objective was to determine the instruments and practices related to Competitive Intelligence (CI) developed by Spanish ADRs: the systems created, informative typologies and platforms used, functions of the IC units, training processes, personnel, membership of networks, and systems of promotion. Nine agencies responded. The findings point to the sparsity of official structures concerning Competitive Intelligence, although there do exist organisms in which Intelligence policies are more advanced.
