| Abstract | IV Conclusion: Training leads to physiological adaptions in vivo. Muscle cells isolated and differentiated to myotubes after an exercise intervention showed that changes in response to exercise in vivo can be retained in human myotubes in vitro. Training in vitro in the form of EPS stimulation affected gene expression in human myotubes. Preliminary data indicate that cellular responsiveness to EPS can be changed after exercise in vivo. To draw final conclusions more data is required since myotubes from a limited number of donors was studied in this thesis. Nils Gunnar Løvsletten |
