| Abstract | Cokriging is a tool able to estimate values of a measured variable in sparsely sampling densities from other measured variables in higher sampling densities. In soil science, cokriging allows to study the spatial variability of hydro-physical attributes, which their determination is considered labor intensive and time consuming in laboratory. Thus, this work aimed to verify the potential of cokriging to estimate hydrophysical soil attributes from a covariable, and to compare the estimated values from cokriging with kriging estimated values. The soil microporosity presented a better correlation with the field capacity (UvCC) and the permanent wilting point (UvPMP). The estimated values by cokriging presented a good relationship with the estimated values by kriging, according to the angular and linear coefficients from the linear regression equation, as much to UvCC as UvPMP data. |
