| Abstract | In this study, the conversion of methane and CO2 to synthesis gas using dry reforming over Pd/MgO catalysts in different concentrations of Ce and Ce was investigated. Besides that, it was also examined the factors that contribute to the deposition of carbon during co-precipitation method. The catalysts used in this study, were prepared using K2CO3 as the precipitant. The characterization of the catalysts were performend using stete-of-the-art techniques i.e. XRD, XPS, FT-IR, TPR-H2, BET, TEM, FE-SEM, and TGA. It was found that with the addition of Ce promoter, the catalyst Pd/Mg0.85Ce015O appraised a high level of activity (CH4; 54%, and CO2; 74%) and with excellent stability. The results of this analysis also revealed an outstanding anticoking activity of reduced catalyst with low Pd metal. Additionally,we have studied the catalyst performance and stability of the produced catalyst. |
