| Abstract | The main objective of this paper is to highlight the importance of literary creation in film production, based on the work of the writers of the sixties and seventies who ventured as screenplay adaptors, scriptwriters and screenwriters; in addition, it recognizes how the exercise or literary practice of these writers allowed them to consolidate their work in order to s쳮d in creating their filmoliteraria , which, on the other hand, is seldom analyzed in the critical literature. Amid the difficulties faced by the Mexican film industry emerged this embryonic movement: milestone in the history of national cinematography, which strove to break a vicious circle the industry kept. This movement sought to propose a new cinema which satisfied different cultural and aesthetic requirements. That is why through this academic paper we insist on showing what novelists and poets did to make this possible. The writers who ventured into the Mexican cinema of the sixties and seventies, mainly since the Primer Concurso de Cine Experimental (First Experimental Film Competition), organized in 1964 by the Technical and Manual Workers Section from the Union of Workers of Film Production, were mostly young people from the half-century generation who saw in the cinema, another powerful means of expression in which to unleash imagination while imparting a renovative air to the thematic and its treatment. |
