Abstract	Monoliths containing 0.1 wt.% Pt and Rh have been used for the partial oxidation of methane to synthesis gas. Two different impregnation methods for making Pt and Rh (and Ni) monoliths are described and discussed. The studies were carried out at conditions with incomplete conversion of O2 and with product distributions far from equilibrium. The two metals show different activities.
