| Abstract | This paper proposes an approach for pitch synchronous linear predictive coding (LPC) of speech in noisy environments. A noise reduction method is derived which produces an enhanced speech signal with one pitch period. For the proposed LPC method, the enhanced one pitch speech signal is used in a form of pitch extension so that the autocorrelation function is obtained accurately. Simulation experiments show that the proposed LPC method provides a superior performance in white noise. |
