| Abstract | This study of inland tourism in the Region of Valencia is based on the participation of municipal bodies and associations connected with the tourism industry. This local perspective is the culmination of opinions from experts and managers involved in the process of shaping inland tourist destinations, related to aspects such as the potential and limitations of tourism in the development of the rural environment. The aim is none other than to provide criteria for a competitive and sustainable tourism development model, which is able to combine new economic dynamics with the intrinsic values of the area and its local society. |
