| Abstract | This research was carried out aiming to evaluate the residual action of the insecticides acetamiprid, chlorfenapyr, imidacloprid, thiacloprid and thiamethoxam on adults of Trichogramma pretiosum Riley and their subsequent effects on individuals of the F1 and F2 generations. Eggs of Anagasta kuehniella (Zeller) were glued in paper cards, UV-killed and treated by dipping in the chemical solutions and in water (control) for five seconds. One, 24h and 48h after the treatment, eggs of the factitious host were exposed to parasitism of T. pretiosum for 48h and, soon after, maintained under controlled conditions at 24±1oC, RH of 70±10% and 12h of photophase, until the emergence of the parasitoids. Both chlorfenapyr and imidacloprid were the most harmful insecticides to T. pretiosum . Both acetamiprid and thiamethoxam were shown to be harmless to this parasitoid |
