| Abstract | The following manuscript starts from the revision about the professional knowledge of the primary school science teacher, which is evidenced in the presentations at the academic event of ABRAPEC (Associacao Brasileira de Pesquisa em Educacao em Ciencias) held in 2009, in order to analyze and give an account of the way in which some researchers in international contexts analyze and deal with this topic that is the motivation of the research project developed at Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas. In our project, we handle that issue taking into account two levels: the declarative level and the action level from which the following questions arise: What types of contents are privileged? How does the teacher determine the content he is going to teach? Where do these contents come from? What references are used? What are the criteria for validating the school knowledge? Such criteria are presented in this project, leading us to inquire about the research studies that deal with the knowledge of primary school science teachers from other countries. |
