| Abstract | The main objective of this study is the application of Principal Component Analysis coupled with turbidity and suspended matters measurement of the metals (Fe, Pb, Cu, Mn, Zn) in the water of the right bank of the Senegal River. For this purpose, samples of water samples were carried out at the right bank of theSenegal Riverspecifically at the catchment’s Station pretreatment Beni Nadji. The results of this study showed the existence of very high turbidity whose maximum value is 980 NTU. Average grades, metals, were recorded: Fe (246.25 µg/L), Pb (2.76 µg/L), Cu (300 µg/L), Mn (2.88 µg/L) and Zn (50 µg/L). The results of the analysis Statistics applied to the data obtained shows that the turbidity has positive and significant correlations with Mn (0.884), Cu (0.752) Fe (0.669), Zn (0.545) and Pb (0.458). the suspended matters has positive and significant correlations with Mn (0.895), Cu (0.759) Fe (0.715), Zn (0.648) and Pb (0.498). We can say, probably that any process to eliminate turbidity and suspended matters in water implies a considerable reduction of metals. |
