| Abstract | This research was developed in the community of Isla Fuerte, Municipality of Cartagena, Bolivar, a field work about solid waste characterization was developed, which aimed to identify quality, quantity and percentage of different waste by urban and rural community. An investigation was developed and was found a productive alternative related to processing organic compost using the solid waste generated by agricultural production farms, developing the production process and characterizing the supply chain. Thereof is sought to minimize environmental impact and improve the crop productivity of the island, reducing the costs associated with the purchase of chemical fertilizers. |
