Abstract	Modern cities have suffered a deterioration of its public space caused by the rise of private vehicles, which has caused health problems, unsafeness and has limited the uses that citizens can make the of their urban environment. The Superilles project promoted by the City Council of Barcelona wants to reinvent the city and to reconquer public space for citizens by the definition of a new urban unit that will create a new hierarchy between public roads and will increase green space in the city. This study evaluates the plot of pacified streets which has arisen as a result of this project in the urban landscape of the Eixample and the way it relates to basic facilities and green spaces in
