| Abstract | The study was conducted in order to evaluate the effect of pre-synchronization and synchronization of estrus from day 35 postpartum on reproductive parameters in dairy cows. Thirty seven pure breed or cross bred cows were used distributed in two treatments where n= 18 were presincronized on day 35 postpartum while n= 19 served as controls. For the presincronized group on day 35 a dose of GnRH was injected (100 mg + gonadorelin), then on day 42 an injection of PGF2α was given (500 μg of D-Cloprostenol) intramuscularly; on day 70 DIV-B were implanted and an injection of 2 ml of Estradiol Benzoate was applied. DIV-B was withdrawn on day 78 giving an injection of 1 ml of Estradiol Benzoate, plus 400 IU of eCG (Novormon ® ), plus 500 μg of PGF2α (Ciclase ® ). Artificial insemination was perform at heat detection, and an injection of 150 μg were applied (Gonasyn ® ). Percent of heat was similar for both treatment, Pregnancy Rate to First and Second Service, Pregnancy Rate , Percentage of cyclicity at 60 days postpartum, Days to first postpartum estrus, Days to first Postpartum Service, Days open Interval, Interval Between Delivery Expected, Services per Conception for all cows, Conception Rate were different and the Services Concepcion were similar. The DIV-B ® resynchronization 35 days PP obtained a marginal rate of return of $ 1.79. |
