| Abstract | Mathematics is one of the most important basic subjects in the engineering education at NTNU. All engineering students take at least four courses within mathematics and statistics while studying to become engineers at NTNU. These mathematics courses are constantly evolving and have seen elements of programming being included in recent years as a supplementary educational tool. This paper focuses on a pilot project that aims to connect mathematics and programming. In particular, the project focuses on three mathematics courses, all of which include Laplace transformation, Fourier series and Fourier transformation, partial differential equations and numerical mathematics. The paper outlines the different measures that have been employed and what results they may have contributed to. |
