| Abstract | In this contribution we aim to reflect first on the basis of the conceptual position of quantitative geographers and secondly, on the situation in which geographers move in recent times and now in relation to new technologies. First rely on the latter. Joining new techniques and instruments to Geography opened a wide field of development and work in Geography, which now has been consolidated. Thus, the variety of work tools that handle geographers now has opened the door to scientific renewal process, which has been linked to the development of communications and information. However, this has meant and will remain a huge effort to adapt our discipline to incorporate the new data generated on the geographical and new tools for managing them. Geographers are required to use the tools and quantitative techniques to the level required current supply data, if by that we achieve a proper role and prominent in territorial analysis.
