| Abstract | The aim of this thesis is to determine the managing styles of nursing executives working in hospitals, with emphasis towards the dependence of a preferred style from the atmosphere among the subordinate nurses. The research material has been based 200 the group of nursing managers. The area of the research included provincial, county hospitals and specialized healthcare institutions in the provinces of Malopolska and Podkarpacie. The results showed that the nursing management workers, depending on their position, chooses the more efficient styles: administrator, developer, bureaucrat. There are no meaningful dependencies between the preferred management style and the rating of the group's atmosphere. Frequent updates of the managers' knowledge and raising their range of qualifications will help in introducing the most efficient styles of management. |
