| Abstract | Happiness is a term that becomes subjective depending on the point of view of the person; where sometimes it can be related to their quality of life. In this case, we will define happiness as the way people have to take advantage of and enjoy life, from their personal perspective. Under these terms, it can be said that happiness, which in turn could be the quality of life, can be both objective and subjective; taking as an example of objectivity, a promotion at work or a good result with respect to health. On the other hand, on the subjectivity side, we can find what a person feels regardless of the criteria of others, in this case we could give as an example: although the government says that security increased in the country, people feel more insecure. With the contribution of these investigations, social indexes have been created that allow observing the social progress of the countries. Which serve as support and as a tool for governments, which should implement both policies and entities, which focus on increasing the welfare of society and not only the economic growth of the country. |
